About MeI started at Seaton High School in 2022. This year I am teaching:
I was previously a teacher and leader at Golden Grove High School (2018-21) and Mark Oliphant College (2013-17). Early in my career I also had contracts at Grant High School in Mt Gambier and Pembroke School in eastern Adelaide. I am passionate about social justice and all students having access to quality history and humanities education, in order to improve social justice. In 2019, I was awarded a Churchill Fellowship to pursue this in relation to learning about South Australian history in particular. More information about my Fellowship is available via the tab above. I serve on the History Teachers' Association of South Australia committee and represent HTASA on the History Council of SA, Governor's Civic Awards for Schools reference group, and assist with the Premier's Anzac Spirit School Prize. I am also on the History Trust of South Australia and Adelaide Holocaust Museum and Steiner Education Centre education advisory panels. In 2020-21, I also represented SA secondary teachers on ACARA's Australian Curriculum Review Teacher Reference Group for HASS, and was seconded to the SA Department for Education as a curriculum writer. I have volunteered for the Australian Refugee Association for many years and support students to gain SACE credits through ARA's Youth Ambassador program. |
