Stage 1 English - Semester 2 - Task B - Text Analysis
INTERVIEW EVALUATION
Was your interview as memorable and expressive as when Tom Cruise jumped on Oprah's couch?
Perhaps you ended up with a John Laws, Clive Palmer, Robert Downey jnr or Matt Damon moment?
What were the strengths of your interview?
What were its weaknesses?
How did it differ from your expectations?
How did your interviewing techniques influence this?
How would you do things differently next time?
Would this apply to interviews with other people or different parameters?

Note - Transcribing your entire interview is not necessary for a number of reasons:

Instead, you are encouraged to listen to/watch your interview (unpleasant but necessary!) and use time codes and key words to create a summary (page 1 of the scaffold).
You should then evaluate your interview against these aspects of interview techniques (page 2 of the scaffold):
You can seek feedback about your interviewing technique from your interviewee. If you are brave you could also ask someone else to critique your interview. You should then use video editing software (QuickTime, iMovie or other) to trim down some clips to use as evidence in Task B. This will assist you with assessment criteria Ap2 in particular. |
